We are a family of five, living the suburbs of Jacksonville, Florida. Over the last several years, my wife, Ashley, and I have ventured a little a time into homesteading on our one-acre property. Sometimes (okay, often) pushing the limits of local ordinances, we have learned so much about gardening, raising small livestock, food preservation, and more. With each new project, we have become overwhelmed with information found on the internet, much of which we later find was unnecessary. We have chosen to start this blog with the intention of giving new homesteaders simple, easy to follow guidance to help them get started.
